Michelle Obama's Signature Style

In Portuguese with don´t use the word "brooch", I mean, only older people still use it without a good laugh or blush. Why? Isn´t a brooch "a clasp or ornament having a pin at the back for passing through the clothing and a catch for securing the point of the pin"? Yes it is, but it´s the slang portuguese word for "blow job". Sorry, I had to say it.

Eveyday I wear a brooch somewhere. Brooches give style to any wardrobe and are very versatile. You get a fantastic look wearing it in a blazer or coat, you can pin it to the bottom of a skirt, you can wear it on a necklace. A vintage brooche cann add style to a simple black dress or a normal t-shirt, can spice up a boring jacket, and it´s nice to secure pashminas and scarves. You also can add a cool antique brooch to a purse or handbag, use it in your hair or beani, only need to use creativity and show your individual personality.

I consider Michelle Obama as "Brooch Ambassador", if I can call her this way... She wears a brooch almost everyday, rarely wears a small pin and, if she does, she couple it with another or even two or three more to make a big fashion statement. Mrs. O. loves vintage brooches, specially flowers, plays with them and truly knows how to make a new look with an old pin.  We can sees Michelle Obama with diferent outfits but the same brooch, with brooches of diferent materials or style and most of them are from her jewelry box. She isn’t afraid to wear the same brooch to more than one event and she wears pearls the same way she wears a papier maché flower: with her unique style!
